Sylvia is a series of six comic books with stories that are followed by twelve pages of illustrations. The comic books will be copyrighted as literary works with illustrations, and sell for $1.99 each. They will be fully in color, and distributed electronically.
The series is progressive. It unfolds the life of a middle-aged woman, and reveals negative influences that inhibit her personal development. Each comic book start with a story about Sylvia, and continues with narrated illustrations that describe her lifestyle and ambitions. Sylvia develops into a mature character, and exposes enemies of feminism.
The series begins a new tradition for comic books. Narrated illustrations contribute to short fiction, and make comic books that go together into collections. The new tradition brings comic books into the marketplace for fiction. It promotes comic books into adulthood and popular culture. Literary strengths dramatize emotions, and intentions. They bring comic books directly into competition with movies and computer games.
